Technical AI Security Expert – Senior Associate/Manager

About the role

Join PwC's Cybersecurity team in Zurich as a Technical AI Security Expert. You will help clients secure AI systems—including generative AI, large‑language models and agentic solutions—by delivering deep‑technical assessments and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical component of AI security assessments, reviewing design, data flows, trust boundaries, identities, permissions, interfaces, dependencies, logging, containment and human oversight.
• Develop and apply practical threat models and abuse cases for AI systems, covering scenarios such as prompt injection, data exfiltration, insecure outputs, tool misuse, poisoning, model or API abuse, and permission failures.
• Define testing objectives, scope, and control validation; direct specialist activities, review evidence and ensure remediation is sufficient.
• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for AI security workstreams, from scoping and project setup through delivery, client communication and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with AI security governance and risk colleagues to integrate technical findings into coherent client conclusions.
• Contribute to the development of AI security services, methodologies, reusable assets, proposals and thought leadership.

Required profile

• Technically strong, client‑facing advisor with the ability to assess AI solutions independently.
• Proven experience in translating technical findings into clear risk conclusions and practical remediation actions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, able to lead by example and share knowledge within the team.
