Technician Specialist – Audio Visual & Show Control

About the role

The Technician Specialist will work on‑site at Portail des Nations in Geneva, ensuring that all audio‑visual, show‑control and related software systems operate reliably every day. You will install, configure and maintain the technical equipment that supports the facility’s events and daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission audio‑visual and show‑control equipment and software.
• Monitor system performance and conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate repairs or replacements, and document incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve technical problems.
• Provide user guidance, training and safety instructions for equipment usage.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support operational needs outside regular hours when required.

Required profile

• Relevant technical diploma, certification or degree (electronics, IT, engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in equipment installation, configuration and maintenance, preferably in a facility or IT support environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of French is a plus.
