Trade Compliance Manager – Process Industries

About the role

ABB is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager for its Process Industries division in Switzerland. You will own the trade compliance framework for the Local Business Line, ensuring all international transactions meet ABB’s Global Trade Program and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, improve and implement customs procedures, origin management, sanction screening, dual‑use classification and export controls.
• Lead trade compliance resources, coordinate with CTCO, TCS, PCE, declarants and logistics teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, internal checks and self‑audits for complex projects across multiple countries.
• Provide expert guidance and training on customs, origin, export control and sanctions compliance.

Required profile

• Degree as a Foreign Trade Specialist, Export Control or Customs Compliance Officer.
• At least 8 years of senior trade compliance or legal/compliance experience, preferably in a large‑project industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GKV, EU and US EAR dual‑use and sanctions regulations.
• People‑leadership and solution‑oriented teamwork skills.
