TrainForTrade Internship – UNCTAD (Geneva)

About the role

The TrainForTrade Internship is offered by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. Interns will support the Human Resources Development Section/TrainForTrade, contributing to research, online course management and communications. The position can be performed on‑site or remotely and runs for six months starting 28 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on trade‑related topics, digital economy, trade statistics and port management.
• Assist in managing TrainForTrade online courses, moderate forums, handle participant communications and organise restitution webinars.
• Prepare short drafts, charts and graphs on specific issues and proof‑read publications and course material.
• Support social‑media activities, draft news for the TFT website and update the online calendar of activities.
• Participate in online meetings and webinars with supervisors and team members.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, French and Spanish.
• Computer literate with standard software applications and able to work independently in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience using Microsoft Windows operating system.
