UI Software Engineer (80-100%)

About the role

Tethys Robotics is seeking a hands‑on UI Software Engineer to develop, industrialise and continuously improve the user‑interaction layer of its underwater robotic platforms. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate user needs into real‑time visualisations and intuitive controls.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate complex UI modules using Unity (C#) or TypeScript frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Implement sophisticated real‑time data visualisations and core user interactions for robotic systems and web applications.
• Perform functional verification tests, troubleshoot issues and create technical documentation.
• Support user interviews, translate requirements into design input criteria and collaborate with the development team to refine the visual and interaction layer.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience with Unity (C# and uGUI) or a TypeScript framework (Vue.js or similar); experience with both is a strong advantage.
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience developing real‑time visualisation systems.
• Completed education in computer science, software engineering, HCI, game development or a related technical field.
• Strong problem‑solving, organisational skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
