About the role
The Vice President, Supply Chain, Integrated Biologics is a senior leadership role responsible for the end‑to‑end Supply Chain organization across Lonza’s Integrated Biologics platform. This position leads the Integrated Biologics Supply Chain organization, including site Supply Chain Heads and global Supply Chain functions.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the Integrated Biologics Supply Chain strategy, aligning customer commitments, growth priorities, manufacturing capacity, financial objectives and operational execution across the global network.
- Lead the end‑to‑end Supply Chain organization across site and global functions, building a high‑performing leadership team and strengthening capabilities, accountability and succession.
- Ensure reliable customer delivery through integrated demand and supply planning, S&OP, production planning, material readiness, logistics, warehousing and inventory management.
- Lead network, capacity and inventory strategy, balancing customer service, supply resilience, working capital, cost and risk while preparing for growth programs, new assets and launches.
- Drive Supply Chain transformation through process standardisation, digital enablement, automation, advanced planning capabilities, data transparency and robust performance management.
- Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, MSAT and other functions to manage risks, enable business priorities and ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, quality, EHS and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline; MBA preferred.
- Extensive senior leadership experience across end‑to‑end Supply Chain in a complex global manufacturing environment, ideally pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical.
- Broad Supply Chain expertise spanning demand and supply planning, S&OP, production planning, inventory, logistics, warehousing and network planning.
- Proven experience leading across multiple manufacturing sites and international networks, translating strategy into execution and driving large‑scale transformation.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with ability to balance customer service, capacity, inventory, cost, working capital and operational risk.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing teams in a matrixed organisation.
- Business‑fluent English required.
- APICS and/or Lean Six Sigma qualifications are an advantage.
