Visual Inspection Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Visual Inspection (VI) Operator to join its drug product manufacturing team in Visp, Switzerland. You will work on the shop‑floor in a cGMP environment, ensuring that liquid and freeze‑dried drug forms are produced safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual visual inspection of drug product batches according to cGMP guidelines.
• Execute manufacturing activities, including compounding, parts washing, autoclaving, filter integrity testing, and equipment cleaning.
• Prepare, execute, and review batch records and other GMP documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, resolve production problems, and support process investigations.
• Provide technical and procedural support to the manufacturing team and train new operators.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience working on the shop‑floor in a GMP environment, preferably in sterile drug product manufacturing.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements, quality procedures, and SOP execution.
• Team‑oriented with effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work a two‑shift pattern.
