Visual Inspection Operator – Sterile Products

About the role

The Visual Inspection Operator will ensure the integrity of sterile liquid and freeze‑dried products by performing meticulous visual checks in a GMP‑compliant environment. This contract position involves both project‑based setup of inspection processes and routine day‑to‑day inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining and implementing manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automatic visual inspection processes during the project phase.
• Support commissioning, qualification and validation of new inspection equipment and related procedures.
• Perform visual inspections of sterile vials and syringes, classify defects and record results in MES and logbooks.
• Prepare inspection rooms, calibrate light measurement stations and handle sample transfers to cooling rooms.
• Identify and report deviations, contribute to root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Fluent German language skills (mandatory); English is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sterile production, GMP and EHS requirements.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to a two‑shift schedule.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality and safety.

Required skills

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
