3D Piping Designer (AVEVA E3D)

About the role

An experienced 3D Piping Designer is sought to support industrial engineering projects in Monthey, Switzerland. The role creates and maintains 3D models of industrial installations using AVEVA E3D, in line with technical specifications, piping standards and project requirements. It is a full-time position (42 hours per week) starting as soon as possible and lasting until 28 February 207.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models of industrial installations, including piping systems, equipment, accessories, components and supports.
• Design and integrate piping and equipment supports in compliance with technical specifications, piping classes and industrial design standards.
• Verify 3D models against technical data and project constraints, identify and resolve design clashes.
• Produce piping isometric drawings and technical plans needed for project execution.
• Update 3D models according to project changes and feedback from engineering teams.
• Control the quality, accuracy and compliance of models and deliverables.
• Take part in 3D model reviews and technical coordination meetings.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Proven experience in 3D modelling of industrial installations, especially piping systems, equipment and supports.
• CFC as an Industrial Equipment Designer, Piping Designer or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written French is mandatory.
• Independent, precise and detail-oriented, with good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of industrial piping standards, piping classes, mechanical components and technical specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, including piping networks, equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience generating and reviewing piping isometric drawings and installation plans in AVEVA E3D.
• Ability to identify, analyse and resolve design clashes in 3D models.
