Account Manager Private Banking – Geneva

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring an Account Manager Private Banking (AM) in Geneva, working 100% on site. The AM takes ownership of account administration, documentation formalities and day-to-day operational tasks affecting the account, without having their own client book. They liaise closely with the Relationship Manager (RM) and support RMs and Group Heads in delivering tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate client documentation (client identification, account opening forms, legal forms) and clear operational account management
• Maintain client key data so CRM and other data sets stay correct, and take part in client meetings when appropriate
• Support RMs and Group Heads with systems, applications, documents and client interactions, and cover client interaction during absences
• Draft investment proposals, prepare client meetings, manage calendars and organise business trips
• Manage internal projects affecting account relationships and help improve processes
• Handle risk and compliance: raise concerns, follow up issues, escalate when in doubt, and ensure ethical, compliant behaviour and correct documentation of client orders

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM), or 3 years as an ARM plus a job-related higher degree (e.g. Bachelor, CFA/AZEK/CAIA)
• Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs
• Successful completion of the internal AM PB certification programme
• Situational adaptability, proactive and independent, highly service-oriented and able to work under pressure

• Sound affinity with the geographic market, including legal and regulatory environment and cultural awareness
• Deep understanding of private banking products, services and tools
• Advanced knowledge of global financial markets
• Excellent verbal and written language skills according to market requirements
