Accountant – Full‑time (100%)

About the role

We are supporting a global organisation in finding a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team in Bern. The role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, own key financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments.
• Handle employee expense claims and company credit‑card transactions.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and monitor payment status.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings.
• Maintain vendor master data and respond to supplier enquiries.
• Assist with cash management and support the Treasury team as needed.
• Prepare accounting reports and perform account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Procurement and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial information.
• Participate in finance projects, process improvements and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Commercial education or a qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 2‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Good understanding of Accounts Payable and general accounting processes.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German and/or French are a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive team player with strong communication skills.

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle is an advantage)
