Accountant

About the role

MCM is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The role supports internal reporting, statutory compliance, and a range of accounting processes across its European entities.

Key responsibilities

• Book supplier invoices and employee expenses.
• Issue and record intercompany invoices and third‑party invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts and cash boxes.
• Maintain accurate records of payments, purchase orders, invoices and statements.
• Prepare payment runs for all European entities in line with aging policies.
• Continuously improve the purchase‑to‑pay process.
• Execute month‑end closing and reporting for three legal entities in Switzerland and Italy.
• Post period‑end entries such as accruals, pre‑payments and recurring journals.
• Manage fixed‑asset transactions including purchase, disposal and depreciation.
• Assist with audit documentation and statutory reporting.
• Support special finance projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of accounting experience in an international environment.
• Proven ability to handle internal reporting, statutory requirements and accounts payable.
• Experience with bank and cash reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple legal entities.
