Accountant (m/f/d) – Remote or Basel

About the role

Nexova is a fully remote fiduciary firm in Switzerland offering digital accounting, payroll and tax advisory services to startups and SMEs. As an Accountant you will work on real client mandates from day one, using modern digital tools and collaborating closely with experienced Client Advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client accounts independently, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare interim and annual financial statements and tax returns for natural and legal persons.
• Submit VAT returns, conduct annual reconciliations and handle social insurance declarations.
• Handle payroll and personnel administration for client mandates and support Client Advisors in day‑to‑day client management.
• Challenge existing workflows and contribute ideas to shape the future of digital fiduciary services.

Required profile

• Commercial apprenticeship (KV) with training in fiduciary or accounting, or currently pursuing one.
• 2–3 years of experience in fiduciary or accounting.
• Excellent German and solid English communication skills.
• Independent work style, proactive communication and a genuine willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Familiarity with common fiduciary and accounting software; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
• Digitally savvy with modern, paperless workflows.
