Accounts Payable Assistant (50%)

About the role

ETEL, a worldwide leader in motion control components and mechatronic motion systems based in Môtiers, Switzerland, is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join its Finance team. You will support accounts payable activities and help run day-to-day accounting operations in an open, dynamic midsize employer with an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, review and monitor supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulations.
• Support the preparation of supplier payments and monitor payment due dates to optimise cash flow.
• Manage employee expense claims, including verification, approval and integration into the accounting system.
• Ensure accurate allocation of supplier invoices and expense claims in the ERP system.
• Take part in accounts payable reconciliations and related controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and accounting procedures.
• Help improve accounts payable processes and workflows, and resolve invoice and payment queries with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Commercial CFC or equivalent qualification.
• 2 to 3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Fluent French with a good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Swiss GAAP and IFRS.
• ERP experience is an advantage.
