AI Engineer

About the role

Join the Data & Analytics team at Crypto Finance in Zurich to drive the company’s AI strategy. You will identify use cases, engineer production‑grade AI and automation solutions, and help build the firm’s AI governance practice while contributing to the underlying data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Compliance, Trading, Operations, Legal, Sales, and Finance to scope and prioritize AI use cases.
• Engineer deterministic automations, AI agents, RAG systems, and structured extraction pipelines for production.
• Maintain the firm‑wide AI inventory, run the AI approval process, and conduct technical reviews of new initiatives.
• Contribute to ELT pipelines using Dagster, SQLMesh, and dlt; build feature views, document indexes, and event tables.
• Maintain infrastructure as code in Git with proper review and deployment standards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of relevant experience with shipped production work.
• Demonstrable experience building LLM applications, including structured extraction and agentic patterns.
• Strong Python coding skills for production‑ready code.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, retrieval, and hallucination mitigation.
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss permit or EU/EFTA citizenship).
