Android Product Engineer

About the role

Mobility is looking for an Android Product Engineer to join its headquarters in Rotkreuz and help shape one of its most important customer touchpoints – the native Android application. You will work in a cross‑functional product team, collaborating with UX designers, backend engineers, QA specialists and product managers to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences for thousands of users across Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve the native Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Design and implement new features in close partnership with UX, product and engineering teams.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate backend services, SDKs and third‑party components while ensuring performance, stability and maintainability.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, release processes and contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with mobile developers across product streams to ensure consistency and share knowledge.
• Help evolve the application architecture, quality and overall user experience.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience developing native Android applications.
• Fluent German (C1) and English (B2/C1) – mandatory.

• BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC (plus)
• iOS development with Swift (advantage)

• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
