Application Developer – API Development (Full-time, Bern)

About the role

We are looking for an Application Developer to join our eBanking integration team in the Bern region. You will work on connecting Avaloq core banking systems with modern software solutions, ensuring smooth operation and continuous improvement of our API and container‑based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in integration projects between Avaloq and standard software solutions.
• Provide 2nd‑level support focusing on application monitoring and incident handling.
• Develop and maintain interface solutions, including APIs, messaging, and file transfers.
• Support the creation of modern web‑ and container‑based applications in the eBanking environment.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues in application operations.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with container technologies such as Docker or OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Basic understanding of application operations and monitoring in complex IT environments.
• Motivation to learn new technologies and work in a team‑oriented, pragmatic setting.
• German business fluent (C2); English is a plus.
