Application Integration Engineer – Global Financial Messaging

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking an experienced Application Integration Engineer to design, develop, and operate its global Financial Messaging Infrastructure. You will ensure the stability, security, and performance of mission‑critical messaging platforms while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE and IBM MQ.
• Maintain availability, security, and performance of the bank’s global messaging infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and maintain messaging services, queue managers, and integration flows.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable integration services.
• Troubleshoot complex messaging and integration incidents across application and Linux environments.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and DevOps‑oriented improvements.
• Manage deployments, upgrades, and platform lifecycle while ensuring regulatory and security compliance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with IBM ACE and/or IBM MQ on Linux.
• Background in financial services and familiarity with SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, and FIX standards.
• Strong knowledge of HA/DR, SSL/TLS, performance tuning, and platform lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in international, on‑call environments.
