Application Integration Engineer

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking an experienced Application Integration Engineer to develop and operate its global Financial Messaging Infrastructure. You will design integration solutions, ensure platform stability, and drive automation within a DevOps‑oriented model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE and IBM MQ.
• Ensure availability, security, and performance of the bank’s global messaging infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and maintain messaging services, queue managers, and integration flows.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable services.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Manage deployments, upgrades, and platform lifecycle while complying with regulatory and security requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with IBM ACE and/or IBM MQ on Linux.
• Background in financial services and familiarity with SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, and FIX standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in international, on‑call environments.
