Applied AI Director

About the role

We are seeking an Applied AI Director who combines strategic thinking, entrepreneurial execution, and hands‑on technical expertise. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and AI, driving commercial growth and delivering AI‑powered solutions across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to C‑suite and board stakeholders, defining AI strategies and validating generative‑AI assumptions.
• Lead discovery and ideation to turn complex business challenges into prioritized AI opportunities with clear value paths.
• Drive enterprise AI adoption by identifying high‑impact use cases, quantifying business value, and managing organizational change.
• Lead cross‑functional teams from concept through production and adoption, covering engineering, data, design, and business functions.
• Grow EPAM’s Applied AI practice through talent development, commercial performance, and market positioning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of industry experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Energy or Utilities, with responsibility for business performance or transformation.
• Deep understanding of industry drivers, regulatory environment, unit economics and competitive dynamics.
• Hands‑on expertise in generative AI, large language models and agentic systems, including multi‑agent orchestration frameworks.
• Proven track record deploying AI solutions into production and communicating business value.
• Executive stakeholder management experience with senior and board‑level leaders.

Required skills

• Generative AI and large language model implementation.

• Experience with hyperscaler AI platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud.
• AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
• Conversational AI or voice AI technologies.
