Artwork Creation Manager (m/f/d) – Pharmaceutical Packaging

About the role

F. Hoffmann-La Roche is looking for an Artwork Creation Manager (m/f/d) for its Product Configuration & Execution Center of Excellence, within the Product & Supply Chain Management department. The role ensures timely and GMP-compliant artwork, text and graphics for printed packaging materials (PPM) worldwide, acting as the main technical contact for external service providers and CMOs.

Key responsibilities

• Create PDFs for printed packaging materials (folding boxes, foils, labels, leaflets) from manuscripts, annotations or technical drawings, including new PDFs for launches and line extensions
• Create and edit graphical templates, die cuts and graphic standards for print templates
• Collaborate closely with the Product Configuration Manager on on-time delivery and solve delays proactively
• Act as the central point of contact for external artwork providers, CMOs and internal stakeholders, and manage file uploads to the PDF library and content sheets in WebCenter
• Create, maintain and document text macros in the Text DB and scripts in Chili where applicable
• Finalize goods for printing and provide printing data to print suppliers
• Complete GMP checklists, archive task data and maintain country-specific specifications and graphic documentation
• Support complaint management by editing unplanned events in the Quality Management System and stay compliant with GMP and the Roche Style Guide
• Control artwork, texts and proofs against defined standards and drive continuous improvement through performance reviews

Required profile

• Digital and Print Media Designer or Graphic Designer, with 5-10 years of relevant experience in pharma or a service provider environment
• Qualification in Labeling & Artwork Management (or related field)
• GMP experience required
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus

Required skills

• Expert-level Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
• Artwork verification tools such as GlobalVision, TVT and Esko
• Nice to have: Esko WebCenter
