Asset & Liability Manager – Treasury & Credit

About the role

Julius Baer seeks an Asset & Liability Manager to safeguard the bank’s financial integrity by strategically managing assets, liabilities, and credit risk. The role involves proactive risk management, financial planning, and delivering insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert analysis on Treasury topics such as net interest income, FX impacts, balance‑sheet dynamics, and credit‑related issues.
• Lead performance measurement, forecasting, and budgeting for the Group Treasury sub‑division.
• Design analytical tools, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to support Treasury decision‑making.
• Drive data‑model development and automate reporting processes for Treasury and Credit analytics.
• Ensure end‑to‑end execution of credit risk reporting in compliance with regulatory and internal governance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise financial structures and enhance financial resilience.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or related field; CFA or CPA desirable.
• Minimum 4 + years of experience in treasury, credit or related financial roles.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data and economic conditions.
• Solid understanding of treasury, balance‑sheet management, counter‑party risk and credit risk principles.
• Proven experience automating and standardising financial processes using digital tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (MS Office) proficiency.
• Experience with Tableau for dashboard creation.
• Use of financial software for Treasury and Credit analytics.
