Assistant Controller (IFMS) – Zurich, Basel, Geneva

About the role

EY is expanding its Integrated Finance Managed Services (IFMS) offering in Switzerland and is looking for an Assistant Controller to support the Regional Controller in delivering and overseeing finance operations for Swiss and European clients. The role contributes to the operational model, governance standards and quality of IFMS delivery, combining financial reporting support, multi-framework accounting and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Prepare financial information under IFRS, US GAAP, Swiss Code of Obligations or Swiss GAAP FER, depending on client needs
• Work with FAAS specialists on technical accounting matters aligned with the IFMS delivery model
• Contribute to regulatory reporting such as SEC filings, EU regulatory submissions and SIX Swiss Exchange reporting
• Monitor service delivery with IFMS Delivery Executives and global teams, and support timely remediation
• Support commercial management by monitoring scope changes and contract-related matters
• Support treasury processes, stock-based compensation tracking and coordination with banks and transfer agents
• Support payroll-related activities with managed services teams and client HR for tax and benefits compliance
• Prepare audit schedules and assist internal and external audits, and contribute materials for Audit Committee and Board meetings
• Assist with IFMS system administration, including subledger-ledger interfaces and reconciliations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA (active, eligible or inactive) or equivalent certification preferred
• 6-9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant hands-on corporate/in-house finance experience focused on financial reporting and compliance
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work with onshore and offshore teams
• English; French or German is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Excel proficiency; SAP, Concur and Ariba familiarity is beneficial
• Experience supporting public-company reporting or SEC processes is an advantage
