Associate Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

As an Associate Carrier Sales Representative at RXO, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing carrier capacity to move freight efficiently across North America. You will act as a key liaison between shippers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with core carriers while negotiating rates and capacity.
• Communicate continuously with carriers and customers to manage freight movements, route changes, and any issues.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, considering factors such as weather, traffic, mileage, and service rules.
• Follow established procedures for high‑value and high‑risk loads to protect shipment integrity and brand reputation.
• Accurately update carrier and shipment information in RXO’s operating systems.
• Research databases for potential carrier leads and conduct cold‑calling outreach.
• Track billing and invoicing to verify carrier charges are correct.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of procurement experience.
• At least 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer‑service experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while working independently.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/military experience is a plus.
