Associate Legal Counsel – Europe

About the role

The Associate Legal Counsel, Europe will provide comprehensive legal support to Cytokinetics’ European affiliates. Based in Zug, Switzerland, the role partners with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Procurement and other cross‑functional teams across multiple European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, HCP/HCO agreements, vendor contracts, event agreements, distribution agreements and data‑protection clauses.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal support to European business functions, advising on contract processes, company policies and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the US legal team to ensure a consistent approach and contribute to cross‑border legal projects.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks and clause libraries for Europe and support the rollout of the Contract Lifecycle Management system.
• Identify legal risks and ensure compliance with EU and country‑specific regulations, working with compliance, finance and regulatory partners.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent advanced law degree.
• Bar qualification in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Familiarity with EU data‑protection requirements and cross‑functional legal support.
• Ability to work closely with business partners across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Procurement and other functions.
