Associate Specialist – Regenerative Agriculture (Coffee & Cocoa)

About the role

As an Associate Specialist in Regenerative Agriculture for coffee and cocoa at Nestlé Research, you will design and deliver research projects that support Nestlé’s Creating Shared Value commitments. You will work closely with internal teams, farmers, research institutes and external partners to turn scientific insights into practical, on‑farm solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement regenerative agriculture research to create shared value in coffee and cocoa production systems.
• Coordinate field trials, data collection and analysis with internal and external partners.
• Apply scientific rigour to transform high‑quality data into robust research outputs.
• Translate research findings into practical guidance for on‑farm deployment.
• Deliver novel research insights within agreed timelines, milestones, standards and budgets.
• Build regenerative agriculture expertise to strengthen team performance and scientific collaboration.

Required profile

• PhD in agronomy, agriculture, plant science or a related discipline with practical experience in agricultural research, field trials or applied agronomy, preferably in coffee or cocoa.
• Strong knowledge of regenerative agriculture, crop management and soil health.
• Ability to use data analysis, documentation and reporting tools to produce clear, traceable technical outputs.
• Proven collaboration skills across scientific, technical and operational audiences, with attention to detail and timely communication.
• Fluent communication in English.
