Automation Engineer – Commissioning of Complex Industrial Machines

About the role

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the commissioning, validation, and final tuning of complex industrial machines for our client, an innovative equipment developer. The role involves on‑site work at customer or production sites in Delémont, ensuring that automated systems meet performance and safety standards before delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Commission and optimise complex automated machines on customer or production sites.
• Finalize automation developments and perform system tuning.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during machine start‑up and commissioning phases.
• Execute functional testing and system validation before delivery.
• Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to ensure successful system integration.
• Contribute to continuous product and process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in industrial automation.
• Solid knowledge of Beckhoff PLC programming.
• Experience with safety and motion‑control systems.
• Experience developing or maintaining C# WPF HMI applications.
• Knowledge of industrial robot integration, preferably Stäubli.
• Ability to work on complex automated equipment in an industrial environment.
• Fluent French required; English considered an asset.
