Automation Engineer – EMR Maintenance & Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to lead and contribute to technical projects and investment initiatives within an industrial environment. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating EMR (Electrical, Measurement, and Control) maintenance while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and coordinate EMR maintenance activities, including ordering and capacity planning.
• Maintain SAP reporting, ensure plant availability and monitor budgets for projects, investments and maintenance.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional engineering team and support operations management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, hygiene and environmental standards.
• Continuously optimise systems, processes and maintenance procedures and take part in risk analyses.
• Maintain plant documentation in SAP/COMOS and update process flow diagrams.

Required profile

• Completed technical school (HF), Bachelor (FH) or Master (ETH) degree in electrical, automation or systems engineering.
• Experience in EMR maintenance or projects in the industrial sector is an advantage.
• Fluent German; English is a plus.
• Independent, flexible, team‑oriented, structured and organized.
• Reliable, resilient, solution‑oriented and highly motivated.
