Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to lead and contribute to technical projects and investment initiatives within an industrial plant. The role involves planning, preparing, and coordinating EMR (Electrical, Measurement, and Control) maintenance while collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure plant availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and coordinate EMR maintenance activities, including ordering and capacity planning.
• Maintain SAP reporting, plant documentation in SAP/COMOS, and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional engineering team and support operations management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards.
• Continuously optimise systems, processes, and maintenance procedures and take part in risk analyses.
• Monitor budgets for projects, investments, and maintenance.

Required profile

• Completed technical school (HF), Bachelor (FH) or Master (ETH) degree in electrical, automation or systems engineering.
• Experience in EMR maintenance or projects in the industrial sector is an advantage.
• Fluent German; English is a plus.
• Independent, flexible, team‑oriented, structured and organised.
