Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a partner company’s remote, outcome‑driven team. You will own the reliability, security, scalability and performance of Azure‑hosted environments supporting an enterprise SaaS portfolio with AI components.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Azure infrastructure across development, QA, staging and production, including Container Apps, Static Web Apps, PostgreSQL, Service Bus, Azure Arc and SignalR.
• Design, implement and maintain modular Terraform code, manage state, workspaces and resource tagging, and remediate drift.
• Build and secure CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions with release gates, approvals, secret protection and rollback procedures.
• Monitor operational health, latency, quotas, token usage and costs for Azure AI services such as Azure AI Foundry and Speech‑to‑Text.
• Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights, defining SLIs and SLOs.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, runbook updates, disaster‑recovery planning and compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience operating production‑grade workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions.
• Proven experience with containerized applications (Azure Container Apps) and managed relational databases (Azure PostgreSQL).
• Solid scripting abilities in Bash, PowerShell or Python for automation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a collaborative mindset.
