Biotechnologist – Drug Product (80-100%)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist to support drug product manufacturing in Visp, Switzerland. You will work on both liquid and freeze‑dried drug forms, ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines and contributing to safe, on‑time batch production.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing activities for drug products, following batch instructions and cGMP standards.
• Evaluate test results, troubleshoot equipment, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare, execute, and review batch records and other GMP documentation.
• Support process investigations, changes, and CAPA implementation within required timelines.
• Perform training for operators and new joiners, and operate/clean production equipment.

Required profile

• Several years of shop‑floor experience in a GMP environment, preferably sterile drug product manufacturing.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Strong team orientation, effective communication, and structured work attitude.
• High motivation, dynamic drive, and willingness to work a 3‑shift pattern including nights and Saturdays.

Required skills

• GMP knowledge and SOP execution.
• IT proficiency with SAP.
• Experience with MES systems.
