Budget Escalation Manager

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Budget Escalation Manager based in Zug, Switzerland, working in a hybrid setting. The role oversees clinical trial budgets and leads negotiations on a global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, negotiate and manage clinical trial agreements with sites and sponsors
• Manage complex budget escalations and provide strategic solutions that support study timelines and financial objectives
• Ensure tracking of the completion of all contractual documents for sites
• Establish project timelines
• Set and deliver goals and objectives for the team, and track operational and financial performance
• Develop complex contracting strategies, coordinate investigator grants where applicable, and prepare proposal texts
• Develop contract and budget templates, contracting systems, tools, processes and training materials

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech contract or clinical budget management
• Experience supporting global clinical studies and CRO/vendor contracting preferred

Required skills

• Negotiation with vendors and CROs
• Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management, including drafting, review, approval and execution
• Ability to assess contractual risk and manage contracts independently
• Strong clinical budget review experience, including pricing, payment terms and financial impact analysis
