Business Analyst - Data & Insights

About the role

Payliance is seeking a Business Analyst who can transform messy, incomplete data into clear, actionable business insights. Using Excel, BI tools, and database query utilities, you will work directly with leaders to answer ambiguous questions, identify performance drivers, and guide strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance to spot trends, drivers, and anomalies.
• Translate raw data into concise insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Build structured, repeatable analyses in Excel from fragmented data sources.
• Partner with operations, sales, and finance leaders to frame problems and support decision‑making.
• Convert ambiguous questions into clear analytical approaches and outputs.
• Create simple, scalable solutions for recurring business queries.
• Present findings in a way that drives action, not just awareness.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in business analytics, strategy, operations, or a similar role.
• Ability to work independently with imperfect data and create structure where it does not yet exist.
• Strong communication skills to convey insights to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Proficiency with database query tools.
