Business Analyst, New Builds

About the role
The Business Analyst – New Builds will act as the financial and analytical partner for MSC Cruises’ new ship development projects. You will support the New Builds department by defining, monitoring and optimizing budgets, overseeing owner‑supplied materials and ensuring robust financial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Define, track and monitor the hotel and guest‑operations budget for new ship projects, providing regular performance updates to senior leadership.
- Conduct financial forecasting and ensure expenditures stay within approved budgets.
- Analyse financial data to improve profitability, cost control and resource allocation.
- Manage the budget and coordination of owner‑supplied materials (OS&E, FF&E), tracking related costs and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Technical, Operations and Guest Experience teams to align financial and strategic objectives.
- Lead ad‑hoc business analyses to evaluate the financial impact of decisions, identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, KPIs and data‑driven insights for project performance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting or project finance, preferably in a maritime, hospitality or large‑scale construction environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
