Business Controller EMEA and Americas

About the role

Rieter, a textile machinery manufacturer headquartered in Winterthur, Switzerland, is looking for a Business Controller for the EMEA and Americas regions within the Division SSF (Short Staple Fiber). The role shapes the financial success of the two regions through financial steering, analysis and decision support, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and mid-term planning for the EMEA and Americas regions, ensuring accuracy, speed, transparency and compliance with international standards.
• Partner with regional leaders and branch managers to support revenue growth, cost discipline, margin improvement and sustainable profitability.
• Analyse key financial and operational KPIs to improve profitability, optimise working capital and support corrective actions.
• Provide ad hoc analyses, scenario modelling and financial assessments for strategic initiatives, pricing and management decisions.
• Drive standardisation and automation of controlling and reporting processes using modern analytics and BI tools.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
• Work with Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and regional management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• More than 5 years of financial management experience, ideally in a Business Partner position.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA or ACCA is a plus.

Required skills

• Solid expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cost control and performance monitoring.
• Understanding of standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Anaplan), BI tools and advanced Excel.
