Business Controller Europe – Finance Leader

About the role

The Business Controller Europe will join the Medical Device Europe leadership team and act as a trusted financial advisor for commercial and manufacturing operations. You will help drive profitable growth, operational excellence and data‑driven decision making across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Business Unit President and leadership team as the lead finance business partner.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and long‑range financial planning activities.
• Monitor and optimise revenue, profitability, gross margins, operating expenses and cash flow.
• Provide plant‑controlling support including product costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation and capital‑expenditure business cases.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory reporting, audits and internal controls.
• Drive improvements in working capital, finance process automation and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience in finance, controlling or business partnering, preferably in manufacturing and commercial environments.
• Proven track record of partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions.

Required skills

• Strong experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) tools and cost‑accounting processes.
