Business Developer – Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Industries

About the role

Syspro Automation, a global engineering firm specializing in GMP automation, is seeking a highly driven Business Developer to expand its presence in the European Life Sciences sector, focusing on Switzerland and Ireland. The role will involve identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting the company’s automation, CSV consulting, and technical services solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers in Life Sciences companies.
• Promote industrial automation engineering, CSV consulting and technical services tailored to GMP environments.
• Develop commercial strategies to grow Syspro Automation’s footprint in Switzerland and Ireland.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare client proposals and customized solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
• Represent the company at industry meetings, networking events and client visits.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of proven sales or business development experience in industrial automation, CSV consulting or technical services for the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• Extensive, well‑established network of contacts in Life Sciences manufacturing.
• Deep familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in an international environment.
• Fluent in English and German, with frequent travel within Switzerland and Ireland.
