Business Development Manager – East Switzerland

About the role

We are a dynamic orthopaedic medical technology company seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in joint reconstruction across East Switzerland. You will expand strategic customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and position our modern orthopaedic portfolio in a competitive clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own business development and commercial growth for orthopaedic joint reconstruction in East Switzerland.
• Build, manage and expand relationships with hospitals, surgeons, key opinion leaders and senior decision‑makers.
• Identify and execute growth opportunities through account development, portfolio expansion, new customer acquisition, upselling and cross‑selling.
• Lead complex product evaluations, negotiations and customer conversions in a clinical setting.
• Manage pipeline development, forecasting, opportunity tracking and structured market analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Medical Education and Operations to ensure effective regional market execution.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in sales, business development or key account management within medical devices, preferably orthopaedics.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, hospital structures and decision‑making processes in the Swiss healthcare market.
• Experience with orthopaedic solutions for shoulder, knee, hip or comparable reconstruction portfolios.
• Proven track record in developing customer relationships, driving revenue growth and managing complex sales processes.
• Strong negotiation skills, high ownership and a structured, performance‑oriented working style.
• Fluent in German and English.
