Business Risk Manager (80% temporary, 12 months)

About the role

Join LGT, the world’s largest family‑owned private banking and asset management group, as a Business Risk Manager in Zurich. You will be the first point of contact for Relationship Managers on due‑diligence queries, supporting client prospecting and onboarding while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison for Relationship Managers on all due‑diligence queries during client prospecting and onboarding.
• Identify and assess money‑laundering, reputational and other business risks, preparing written client risk assessments.
• Propose pragmatic, risk‑appropriate controls and mitigation measures to support efficient client onboarding.
• Serve as a proactive advisor and sparring partner to the Front Office, influencing internal stakeholders and contributing to sustainable business growth.

Required profile

• Experience as a Business Risk Manager or similar first‑line‑of‑defense role, audit or compliance officer at a Swiss bank.
• Higher education (e.g., Master’s degree in law or economics) and/or relevant certifications such as Due Diligence or Sanctions diploma.
• Solution‑driven mindset with ability to balance risk and commercial considerations.
• Reliable, responsible, risk‑aware personality with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are a plus.
