CAPEX Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a CAPEX & Engineering Lead to drive large‑scale capital investment projects at our industrial fermentation facility in Aarberg. The role is pivotal for scaling biomanufacturing infrastructure and expanding mycoprotein and precision fermentation production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑million‑euro CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning.
• Own all project phases: FEL, engineering, procurement, construction, and startup.
• Manage external partners, EPCM contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to optimise processes and expand the plant.
• Control budget, timelines, and project risks while ensuring safety, regulatory, and food‑grade compliance.
• Provide technical input on fermentation processes and industrial equipment.
• Act as a hands‑on leader bridging strategy and on‑site execution.
• Support international project coordination across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Required profile

• Master’s or Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or related field.
• 8–12 years of CAPEX project management experience in industrial environments.
• Proven track record managing full EPCM projects.
• Strong expertise in industrial fermentation (biotech, food or related sector).
• Experience in international, multi‑site settings.
• High HSE awareness and regulatory knowledge.
• Fluent English.
