Cargo Agent – Switzerland

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Cargo Agent to join its Swiss operations. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers and ground handling agents (GHA), ensuring a seamless cargo experience that meets Emirates’ high standards for safety, efficiency and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with accurate information on rates, bookings, connections, regulations and related enquiries.
• Monitor and oversee GHA service, including load control, space optimisation, safety compliance and ad‑hoc flight instructions.
• Handle import cargo receipt, breakdown and issue resolution.
• Prepare and verify cargo documentation in line with local regulations and company policies.
• Update flight handling reports, flag irregularities and dispatch post‑flight information to relevant departments.
• Process telephone reservation requests promptly and accurately.
• Resolve customer queries, complaints and claims, escalating when necessary.
• Support Cargo Supervisors with data entry, statistics, reports and operational duties.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education.
• At least 2 years of experience in airline or cargo operations, including 2 years as a Cargo Agent or equivalent.
• Legal right to live and work in Switzerland.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations (DG certificate preferred).
• Understanding of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
