Cargo Capacity Optimizer – Full-time

About the role

As a Cargo Capacity Optimizer you will be responsible for maximizing the utilisation of cargo space on intercontinental flights and the road feeder network departing from our Zurich hub. You will work closely with operations, planning and customer teams to ensure reliable and efficient cargo movements.

Key responsibilities

• Make real‑time capacity decisions, accepting, rejecting or proposing alternatives for cargo requests.
• Continuously monitor flight and truck bookings, re‑evaluate assignments and secure space when irregularities arise.
• Prepare and issue loading instructions and disposition data to optimise cargo contribution.
• Execute uplift operations in line with the established cargo priority list.
• Proactively act on expected operational constraints and coordinate with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proactive, analytical team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and work shift patterns.
• Business degree (KV/Luftverkehrslehre) or higher education.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); basic German is a plus.

• Affinity with IT systems and digital decision‑support tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical problem‑solving abilities.
