Ceded Reinsurance Manager (Full‑Time)

About the role

As a Ceded Reinsurance Manager you will own end‑to‑end complex ceded reinsurance treaties, shaping global risk transfer solutions for Zurich and partnering with senior stakeholders across the Group. You will work closely with reinsurers, internal business units and brokers, driving treaty optimisation and ensuring compliance with Zurich’s risk policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align treaty reinsurance strategies with business objectives, including structural optimisation and scope definition.
• Structure and negotiate highly complex ceded reinsurance treaties within delegated underwriting authority.
• Design coverage scope, refine contract wording and lead the end‑to‑end placement process with approved reinsurers.
• Coordinate and review exposure data and submissions to support internal and external treaty pricing.
• Support reinsurance planning, treaty compliance and governance in line with Zurich Risk Policy and Group standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers and internal stakeholders as a trusted advisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in reinsurance, underwriting or brokerage.
• Proven ability to build strong business‑partnering relationships within a large insurer.
• Experience collaborating across business units and influencing decisions in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance contracts, pricing concepts and governance/risk policies.
• Excellent analytical and data skills, with the ability to review exposure information and ensure data quality.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
