About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to join our international team. The role focuses on IFRS/HKFRS reporting, statutory compliance, and financial operations for Swiss entities, while collaborating closely with global stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead monthly and statutory closing for Swiss entities, ensuring compliance.
- Oversee bi‑annual statutory book closing and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure quality of Finance Shared Service Center activities (AP, AR, Treasury, GL, Expenses, VAT, etc.).
- Manage transfer pricing application, documentation, and filing.
- Handle tax compliance (income tax, deferred tax, VAT) and meet deadlines.
- Review reconciliations across balance sheet, payroll, VAT, IFRS‑Stat, and other areas.
- Participate in projects such as mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, loan arrangements, and legal matters.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
- Support budget forecasting, variance analysis, and allocation key definition.
- Collaborate with international teams and internal departments.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and HKFRS reporting and statutory requirements.
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial, international environment.
- Proficiency in English; French or German is a plus.
- Strong multitasking, analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
