Choir Teacher – Pre‑K & Primary (Extracurricular)

About the role

The Choir Teacher will design and deliver engaging extracurricular choir sessions for Pre‑K and Primary students (ages 3‑10) at Collège du Léman. The role focuses on developing vocal skills, rhythm, confidence and a love of music while supporting the wider performing arts programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality choir sessions aligned with a structured scheme of work.
• Introduce age‑appropriate songs, styles and simple harmonies, fostering an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment.
• Prepare students for performances and showcases through organised rehearsals.
• Maintain clear records of lesson planning, student engagement and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with colleagues on the performing arts programme.
• Organise, coordinate and supervise choir performances and related events.

Required profile

• Voice teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching across age groups, preferably in early childhood or primary settings.
• Fluency in English (native‑level or equivalent); French knowledge is an asset.
• Strong understanding of child protection guidelines and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Required skills

• ICT literacy with educational tools and mainstream software.
