About the role

Join PMI’s transformation journey by designing next‑generation cigarette and filter products. As a Cigarette Designer you will turn consumer insights into tangible prototypes, ensuring every product delivers a consistent, superior experience while supporting the company’s smoke‑free future.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cigarette and filter prototypes that meet defined product targets and consumer expectations.
• Translate design concepts into practical development plans and testable solutions.
• Analyze performance data, identify drivers, and refine designs accordingly.
• Ensure prototypes meet technical, analytical, and production robustness criteria.
• Collaborate with Markets, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to bring designs to full production.
• Resolve technical issues and align design intent with manufacturing realities.
• Continuously improve design, testing, and delivery processes for reliable product performance.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in a technical or scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cigarette/filter design, product development, or related FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of cause‑effect relationships between design choices and product performance.
• Structured, data‑driven approach with the ability to see both details and the bigger picture.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
