Client Onboarding Officer

About the role

The Client Onboarding Officer ensures that new client accounts are opened smoothly and that all client data is accurate throughout its lifecycle. Working closely with Client Relationship Managers and various internal stakeholders, you will help the bank deliver high‑quality service while supporting its digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process all account opening requests, guaranteeing completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers to enable business development.
• Act as a liaison between Front Office, Legal, Compliance, IT and other departments to align interests.
• Support the transition from paper‑based files to a digital onboarding workflow.
• Maintain both physical and electronic client data throughout the client lifecycle.
• Verify client signatures on documents and instructions.
• Develop a deep understanding of the bank’s products, services and processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Swiss financial market, preferably reviewing account openings.
• Strong knowledge of AML, FATCA/QI and CRS regulatory requirements.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems analytically and work hands‑on.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English; German is a plus.
