Clinical Pharmacologist (24‑month contract)

About the role

The company, a high‑potential biopharmaceutical firm based in Switzerland, seeks a Clinical Pharmacologist for a 24‑month contract in the Basel area. The role supports the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of clinical pharmacology trials across drug development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead phase I/IIa studies, including writing and reviewing clinical trial protocols and related documents.
• Provide scientific input to trial teams, support protocol development, and contribute to regulatory submissions such as Investigator’s Brochure, IMPD, DSUR and NDA sections.
• Interpret PK/PD data, prepare trial plans, and present results to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Review data prior to database lock and ensure compliance with SOPs, quality control procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant Swiss work/residence permit or Swiss/EU citizenship.
• Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD or MD) with 1‑2 years of clinical research experience, preferably in pharma/biotech.
• Experience designing, conducting and analysing clinical pharmacology studies and familiarity with PK/PD evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of ICH‑GCP, relevant regulatory guidelines and the roles of functions involved in clinical trials.

Required skills

• PK/PD analysis using WinNonlin or similar software.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to prepare and review clinical trial documentation and regulatory submissions.
