CNC Machinist

About the role

Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing partner, is looking for a CNC machinist in Grenchen. The role involves setting up, operating and monitoring machines in a three-shift operation, making tool changes and simple maintenance, and producing work orders according to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tools, measuring equipment and fixtures according to instructions
• Set up, operate and monitor machines in a three-shift operation
• Make tool changes and corrections and fix faults
• Clean machines and carry out simple maintenance
• Create and optimise simple NC and CNC programmes within projects
• Process work orders according to quality guidelines and work documents
• Report deviations from standard times and complete production documents fully according to GDP
• Ensure workplaces are left clean, perform self-checks and first-piece checks
• Follow the code of conduct, ethics and compliance policies

Required profile

• Apprenticeship plus 1-2 years of practical experience, or secondary education without formal training but several years of experience and additional training courses
• Experience on CNC machines (turning and milling)
• Ability to learn, efficient, flexible, team player and resilient
• Fluent German
