CNC Technician - Turning

About the role

The CNC Technician – Turning is responsible for independently manufacturing precision components on CNC turning machines while meeting the highest quality, safety, and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC turning machines using Siemens ShopTurn and/or Fanuc controls.
• Create, modify, and optimise CNC programs and run new or existing programs to improve quality and cycle time.
• Manufacture parts and small‑to‑medium batches according to technical drawings, selecting and changing tools and workholding devices.
• Perform quality inspections with standard measuring equipment and ensure compliance with tolerances.
• Maintain machines, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship or training as a Polymechanic, CNC Machinist, Cutting Machine Operator or similar technical qualification.
• Several years of experience in CNC turning (advantageous).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Independent, precise, reliable work style with strong quality awareness.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and willing to work 2‑ or 3‑shift schedules.

Required skills

• Siemens ShopTurn control programming.

• Use of measuring and inspection equipment.
